JohnieB -- just wandered over from Mimi's -- your dinner looks wonderful -- I can't wait until our farmers' market opens here. (you didn't live in NJ as a quite young person, did you? I knew a JohnieB whose father was a chemist)
No, I grew up in South Arkansas; my dad was an Electrician and a Machinist.
I have to confess this is not as "local and seasonal" as I would like, but it shore is fittin'!
Um... how long is it from Charlemont, MA to your place??
yum!
mmmmmmmmmmmm...that all looks like I should have driven over to partake...heee!
As soon as I find a place fit for company, I'll start letting y'all know: seriously.
I'd allow about two hours, CR.
Johnieb, it is a gawgeous dinner, and I know that it was as good as it was beautiful. Did you drink the whole bottle by yourself?
No, Mimi; I have one of those pump-out-the -air stoppers, which helps considerably in preservation.
The bread and the cherries alone, would sustain me.
oh, and a little of the white wine...maybe a little more than a little...
