a rare weather phenomenon, which I never saw in five years there. Taken in Hastings, NE. It is caused by supersaturated air, which is much colder than that near the surface, dropping suddenly, being heavier than the warmer, drier air at the surface.

I just turned the dryer back on again, after an hour left me with warm damp clothes. Nothing in this city is rushed, LOL.

It finally got done. And is sitting on the floor in my suitcase now. With luck, I'll put it away before I wear everything again.

Living on the Great Plains of the U S (and, I suppose, Canada or Ukraine) is unusual; the landscape is monotonous, rarely changing very much, but the sky offers spectacular scenes that I have never seen anywhere else.
